Prior to mid-2008 we allowed branches to exist in residential properties. However, because of pressure from some state regulations and concerns from HUD and credit bureau agencies we decided to allow branches only in approved commercial space. For individuals who desire to work from home we introduced our Virtual Loan Officer (”VLO”) program. The commission is the same, only VLO’s can’t market under their own name and must have AMB’s Processing Pros process their loans.
As a Branch Manager or Virtual Loan Officer you play a critical role in determining how you want to run a business. Managers need to be asking themselves questions like – “Should I grow my business by adding employees to my branch?” “Will I use a specific business name to promote my business?” “How will I manage branch expenses to maximize profits?”

One fee is deducted per closed loan and that fee is used to cover the allocated overhead of the main office. However, some loan officers incur service charges when they do not comply with AMB’s policies and procedures. To make an informed decision be sure to inquire as to our current service charge schedule and learn how to avoid unnecessary service charges.
